Back-To-Schol: Divine Intervention Impact Foundation To Gifts School Items, Food Items, Cash Grants To Vulnerable Pupils And Students In Ado-Odo Otta, Seeks Donations From Well-being Individuals
The Divine Intervention Impact Foundation, a non-government organisation, base in Igbesa, Ado-Odo Otta local government area of Ogun State, has set to launch a project to support out of school children in Ogun State.
The initiatives tagged, “Back To School” project, aimed at helping school-age children who are out-of-school get enrolled in schools, and at helping to prevent pupils and students already in schools from dropping out as a result of lack of support.
Also, the Foundation’s ‘Back To School’ project, is aim at welcoming back the primary school pupils and secondary school students to school after the summer holidays, with the distribution of educational materials, ranging from school fees, school uniforms, school bags, textbooks, notebooks, other writing materials, food items and grant cash to the orphans and underprivileged children in the area.
Speaking about the projects to newsmen at Genesis Media Hub, the CEO/Founder of the Foundation, Mrs. Okene Oluwafunmilayo said that primary school pupils and secondary school students from the government owned public schools in the Ado-Odo Otta area in Ogun State, as well residents and children of the vulnerable people of the area were the initial beneficiaries of the ‘Back To School’ project.
“The project is part of my commitment towards empowering underprivileged children, by intentionally giving back to the society” the founder, Mrs. Okene said, while expressing how overwhelmed she feels that one of the foundation’s commitments is being backed with actions and deeds.
The CEO, who since her early years has been assisting the less privileged, reiterated that the initiatives is a major incentive for the foundation and by the grace of God, the foundation will do more in the area and further expand to different areas of the State to take children off the streets and get them in school.
“An educated child is an asset to society. It is one of the best gifts you can give to vulnerables especially in a society where there is no formal social security mechanism that caters for the underprivileged”, she added.
The NGO further seeks donations and support from all wellbeing Nigerians in its mission to provide relief materials for the underprivileged amid the economic hardship in the country, noting the NGO had done a lot and needed support to be able to do much more in its quest to reduce the number of uneducated children in the area and support the needy.
