2024 BACK-TO-SCHOOL PROGRAM: DIVINE INTERVENTION IMPACT FOUNDATION DONATES SCHOOL UNIFORMS, WRITING MATERIALS, OTHER ITEMS, TO UNDERPRIVILEGED SCHOOL CHILDREN IN OGUN STATE
Divine Intervention Impact Foundation (DIIF) has successfully concluded its 2024 Back-To-School Program (3rd edition), where it donated school uniforms, textbooks, and writing materials to underprivileged school children in Ogun State. This initiative aimed to ensure that all children have access to essential educational resources as they prepare to return to school.
The event which took place on 6th September, 2024, at Amazing Grace Event Centre, along Idi-araba, Orile Gboko Lusada, Sango Otta area of Ogun State, attracted bigwigs from all walks of life including local government officials, top educationist, community leaders, parents, and students. About 50 children benefited from the foundation’s generosity, receiving essential items that will support their academic journey in the new session.
DIIF is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for underprivileged communities through education, healthcare, and empowerment initiatives.
The Founder of Divine International Impact Foundation, Mrs Oluwafunmilayo Okene reiterated about the mission of the Foundation. She said, “Our mission is to bridge the gap in educational inequality and create opportunities for every child to succeed”, “We are dedicated to supporting underprivileged children, ensuring they have the necessary tools to excel in their education”
The foundation’s efforts included the distribution of: School Uniforms: The tailored uniforms will help foster a sense of belonging and pride among students.
Textbooks: Essential learning materials to support the curriculum and improve academic performance.
Writing Materials: Notebooks, pens, pencils, and other supplies critical for daily studies.
In addition to the donations, the event featured motivational speeches from local educators and community leaders who underscored the importance of education as a key to breaking the cycle of poverty.
Inspite of the prevailing economic challenges, the Divine Intervention Impact Foundation remains committed to its vision of empowering the underprivileged through educational support and community development initiatives. This Back-To-School Program is just one of many efforts aimed at making a positive difference in the lives of children in Ogun State.
The Founder, Mrs. Okene, also used the medium to appreciate donors and supporters of the humanitarian efforts of the Foundation, for their contributions towards the success of the event. She expressed appreciation on behalf of the Board of Trustees of DIIF to; Mrs. Dorcas Adesanya, Mrs. Modupe Fadare, Dr. Oluyemi Adekemi, Ms. Esther Padonu, Mrs. Johnson Olajumoke, Mr.& Mrs. Sesan Olowolafe, and many others.
In attendance at the event were Ms Padonu Esther, the Administrator for the JUPEB program at Crawford University, Mrs. Lawrence Bosede; Proprietress/Educator, Mr.Okunola Abiodun; Proprietor/Educator, Mrs. Funke Oyedepo; HM Vitalink Academy, and Mrs. Aderogba Dorcas; an Educator, as well as many other noble personalities across the community.
